Egyptian Zodiac Signs – Dates, Meanings and Compatibility

Generally, we use the Western astrology zodiac system consisting of Libra, Cancer, Leo, and other signs.

However, unbeknownst to the public, there are other zodiac systems used in other cultures.

In the pantheon, there were over 2,000 Egyptian deities.

Usually, they were benevolent but others, like Mut and Sekhmet, had interchangeable traits.

Seth (the embodiment of disorder), Sekhmet, and Mut each represent one of the 12 signs found under the Egyptian zodiac system.

Egyptian Zodiac vs Western Astrology

Dissimilar to Western astrology, the Eqyptian method assigns days of the month to the signs.

Believers state that the deities rose at certain times and so they gave each sign the name of a god or goddess (except “The Nile”).

Anubis was the protector of the gods and the dead alike. Anubis was either seen completely in the form of a jackal or as a man with a jackal head.
