Healing the Manipura Chakra or Solar Plexus Chakra Guide

Manipura chakra, meaning “lustrous gem,” is the third chakra and is positioned on the solar plexus (between the bottom of the rib cage and the belly button).

It is symbolized by the color yellow and a triangle within a lotus with ten petals.

This chakra is actually at the core of who we are, and this chakra relates strongly to our sense of self-worth and self-esteem.

With a balanced and healthy third chakra, we have faith in our capacity to meet new challenges and overcome setbacks.

Manipura chakra is connected to the endocrine gland, pancreas, and adrenal cortex, as these glands transform food into powerful energy for the entire physical body just as the chakra sends out energy (prana) throughout the body.

Signs That Your Manipura Chakra May Be Blocked

When prana (the master form of all energy working at every level of your being) is not flowing efficiently from this chakra, we may experience problems with confidence and self-esteem, our sense of adequacy, problems around responsibility and feeling „caught in the middle” and deprived of the good experiences in life.

This chakra is the power center of the body.

Willpower, being perfectionistic, and being self-critical are issues related to an imbalance of the 3rd chakra. You may feel weighed down physically and emotionally.

Additionally, plans without finding efficient ways to realize them is another sign that your Manipura chakra is blocked.

You will also have anxiety and depression in the case of blocked solar plexus.

You may have diseases correlated with the stomach (eating disorders), upper bowel (diverticulosis, Crohn’s disease, maldigestion/malabsorption), gallbladder, kidneys, liver (all three organs can have stones), addictions, adrenal glands, and pancreas (diabetes).

Signs That Your Third Chakra Is Open

Aspects of a balanced Manipura chakra include self-confidence, self-awareness, power, and the power to make decisions.

The power to choose is the main keyword of a balanced 3rd chakra, as it means reactiveness.

People with a balanced chakra will never be afraid of risk-taking; instead, they will be eager to calculate their risks before making a choice. Also, by being aware of themselves, they will eventually make great decisions all throughout their life.

5 Things You Can Do To Help Balance Your Solar Plexus Chakra

#1 Introduce The Color Yellow To Your Life

Yellow is a bright and shining color; it is the color of intellectual and creative energy. It’s the color of the sun, and it makes us feel optimistic and happy.

You could wear yellow clothes, or you could decorate your home with beautiful yellow flowers, yellow cushions or put up a painting or decorative items with yellow in them.

Another option is to eat yellow fruits and vegetables, like yellow peppers, bananas, potatoes, or corn.

#2 Use Crystals or Stones

Crystals are great receptors of energy and are easy to incorporate into your life.

You can use them in particular ways, such as: placing the stone on the chakra and concentrating on the energy that it brings into your physical body.

Or hold it in your hands and contemplate the energy it sends.

For more creative use, you can wear jewelry made of a stone, to allow a continuous stream of energy.

The main stones associated with this chakra are – Citrine, Amber, Gold or Yellow Calcite, Tiger Eye, Golden Beryl, Yellow Topaz, Yellow Danburite, Fluorite, Yellow Jade, Iron Pyrite, Yellow Garnet, Yellow Kunzite Yellow Jasper, Yellow Muscovite, Yellow Sapphire, Yellow Rhodonite and Yellow Tourmaline.

#3 Use Essential Oils

The following essential oils can be used to balance the solar plexus chakra: peppermint, chamomile, yarrow, vetiver, petitgrain, bergamot, lemon juniper, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, and ylang-ylang.

#4 Chant Mantras

The associated mantra for solar plexus chakra is „Ram,” and the note is “E.”

#5 Meditation

Meditation is a powerful way to balance this chakra. Connecting with our body is essential here! Bring awareness to the body, to the breath, every inhale coming out of the nose and coming in through the nose.

Be aware of yourself in the space. Feel the warmth of your body, of the heat created by the breath in and out.

You can imagine yourself close to a wood fire, feeling the warmth of the flames penetrating your body and warming you up, feeling the warmth nourishing your body.

Feel the inner strength inside you and nourish yourself with it.
