Vajra Guru Mantra lyrics in Sanskrit:
”Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum.”
The mantra of Guru Padmasambhava translation in English:
”Blessings of the Diamond Master born from a lotus.”
The Vajra Guru Mantra (or the twelve syllable mantra) is the mantra related to Guru Rinpoche, known as Padmasambhava (Second Buddha).
Vajra Guru Mantra text was found on a scroll, originally kept secret during Guru Rinpoche’s time in Tibet.
Tulku Karma Lingpa found the scroll in the 14th century and wrote a paper and named it “The Syllable by Syllable Commentary Explaining the Benefits of the Vajra Guru Mantra”.
“This mantra is the very heart essence of Padmasambhava. It is also the mantra of all the masters, buddhas, yidams, dakas, dakinis, and protectors. When you chant it, you are invoking the very embodiment of Padmasambhava.” – Sogyal Rinpoche’s quote.

Tulku Karma Lingpa explains Vajra Guru Mantra benefits:
“Even one hundred recitations per day without interruption will make you attractive to others, and food, wealth, and enjoyments will appear effortlessly.
If you recite the mantra one thousand, ten thousand, or more times per day, you will bring others under your influence with your brilliance, and blessings and powers will be continuously and unobstructedly obtained.”
Tulku Karma Lingpa said: ”If you perform one hundred thousand, ten million or more recitations, the three worlds will come under your power, the three levels of existence will fall under your glorious sway, gods and spirits will be at your bidding, the four modes of enlightened activity will be accomplished without hindrance, and you will be able to bring immeasurable benefit to all sentient beings in whatever ways are needed.
If you can do thirty million, seventy million or more recitations, you will never be separate from the Buddhas of the three times nor ever apart from me; thus, the eight classes of gods and spirits will obey your orders, praise your words, and accomplish whatever tasks you entrust to them.“

Vajra Guru mantra meaning, explained by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo:
It begins with OM AH HUNG, which are the seed syllables of the three vajras (of body, speech, and mind).
VAJRA signifies the dharmakaya since it cannot be “cut” or destroyed by the elaborations of conceptual thought.
GURU signifies the sambhogakaya, which is “heavily” laden with the qualities of the seven aspects of union.
PADMA signifies the nirmanakaya, the radiant awareness of the wisdom of discernment arising as the lotus family of enlightened speech.
Remembering the qualities of the great Guru of Oddiyana, who is inseparable from these three kayas, pray with the continuous devotion that is the intrinsic display of the nature of mind, free from the elaboration of conceptual thought.
All the supreme and ordinary accomplishments – SIDDHI – are obtained through the power of this prayer, and by thinking, “HUNG! May they are bestowed upon my mindstream, this very instant!”
