Michael A. Goorjian and his crew are interviewing Wayne, who joins us on a path of self-knowledge by sharing his views on different aspects of life.

Wayne Walter Dyer, born in Detroit, Michigan, the United States on May 10th, 1940, is an established author in the self-development field and a worldwide lecturer, also known as the “father of motivation”.

He wrote more than 30 books, some of Dr.Wayne Dyer’s books: The Power of Intention, Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life, The Sky’s the Limit, Taking Your Life from Ambition to Meaning, The Secret, and Your Erroneous Zones. Wayne also did many audio and video programs for TV and radio.

The Shift – Ambition to Meaning – Synopsis

We are presented with three storylines in which the characters face all kinds of challenges and experiment with various inner feelings during their search for life’s purpose.

The process is complex as they walk on the journey that becomes a starting point for a major change within themselves, which Dr.Wayne Dyer calls it The Shift. Filmed with the backdrop of stunning Asilomar, the family of characters provides a more interesting method to illustrate Dyer’s message than “talking heads.”

Dyer discusses how to find your purpose, how to know when you have found it, ego, separation, the shift towards spirituality, and other topics which are then played out by the characters.

The story of his personal miracle experience at Assisi is especially powerful.

Wayne is also part of the movie since the filmmaker character is supposed to film Dr. Dyer as a mini project before his big movie deal. So in this way Wayne is actually a character in the movie, even though he plays himself.

The casting is interesting because everyone looks “normal”, just like us, avoiding the Hollywood beautiful people cast ( except Portia De Rossi), even though it was filmed in California. The theme music provides an appropriately understated balanced tone, as do the nature views for a proper introspective backdrop.

This is how Dr. Wayne presents this film:

In this inspiring new movie, you’ll enjoy an engaging, heartwarming, and humorous tale of transformation on vacation.

You’ll marvel at the beauty of the windswept ocean scenery. Share the characters’ delight as they receive the most precious gift – permission to follow their hearts. Hear Wayne say, “Don’t die with your music still in you” and see everyone set free to join the orchestra!

Early in life, we follow the path mapped out by ego, a path of ambition, competition, and striving. When midlife dawns, we too often find ourselves stranded in a lonely and desolate place we never intended to visit. Our feelings of sadness and frustration tell us we took a wrong turn.

Like a shift in the wind or a change in the tide, the yearning we feel at midlife is a call to renewal. The Shift shows us the path home, the path to rediscovering our true self, our purpose, and the life of meaning that is our true calling.

When you get it—that you don’t do things because of what somebody else is going to do for you, but you do them because you’re living your life’s purpose – you can light up the whole world with that kind of love. That’s how it works for me.

Some of Dr.Wayne Dyer’s Quotes:

  • The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don’t know anything about.
  • What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds.
  • Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose. Anything less is a form of slavery.
  • How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.

His family confirmed his death in a Facebook post:

“Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night. He always said he couldn’t wait for this next adventure to begin and has no fear of dying. Our hearts are broken, but we smile to think of how much our scurvy elephant will enjoy the other side.”

No cause was disclosed, but Wayne Dyer was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a type of cancer that starts from white blood cells in the bone marrow) in 2009. He later said he had received successful treatments from John of God, a Brazilian psychic healer.
