The Meaning Of Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha:

OM represents Tara’s holy body, speech, and mind.

TARE means liberating from true suffering, the sufferings of samsara, our aggregates being under the control of delusion and karma.

TUTTARE means liberating from the 8 fears, the external dangers, but mainly from the internal dangers, the delusions, and also karma.

TURE means liberating from the ignorance of the absolute nature of the I; it shows the true cessation of suffering.

SOHA means “may the meaning of the mantra take root in my mind.

Also, in the context of the graduated path to enlightenment (lam-rim):

TARE refers to the graduated path of the lower capable being

TUTTARE refers to the path of the middle capable being

TURE refers to the path of the higher capable being

Tara is an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, mother of all the Buddhas and made the vow to return always as a female Bodhisattva is resplendent in her aura of green, radiant with the attainment of all the six perfections of giving, ethics, patience, effort, meditative stabilization and wisdom, and bright with her eve.

Tara belongs to the Karma family of unobstructed compassionate activity. She is known as the Swift One due to her immediate response to those who request her aid. Furthermore, She is known as the great liberator, specializing in overcoming obstacles in whatever form they manifest in our lives.

She is especially known for her power to overcome the most difficult situations, giving protection against dangers and all kinds of fear.

She is emerald green, splendid in the swiftness that the coolness of the color represents. Benefits Of Chanting The Mantra:

Chanting Green Tara mantra liberates sentient beings from samsara sufferings; provides protection from external fears such as fire, snakes, elephants, lions, imprisonment, flood, thieves, spirits, and internal such as elements imbalance that creates 3 types of sicknesses.

Green Tara rids us from defilements and inner obscurations such as hatred, desire, and ignorance.

”If we want to grow apples in our garden, we plant the root of an apple tree. Similarly, if we want to attain enlightenment, we should plant in our hearts the full path of the root, which is contained in this mantra.

As we pray to Tara and recite his mantra receive their blessings; penetration by the blessings of Tara in our hearts, we are able to generate all the way to enlightenment. When you generate the path – method, and wisdom – in our minds, our bodies, our speech, and our mind impure are purified and transformed into the body, speech, and mind of sacred Tara.”
