Muladhara (Root) Chakra Activation – LAM Beej Mantra

The root chakra is also referred to as the first or base chakra.

In Sanskrit, it is called Muladhara.

This chakra is situated at the base of the spine.

The color associated with the base chakra is red, and it is symbolized by a lotus with four petals.

You can imagine a red disc of energy at the end of your tailbone, which is energizing your entire body.

This chakra is said to be the base from which the three main nadis emerge: Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna. Also, it is the chakra nearest to earth and can be used to ground yourself to Mother Earth, release all that negative energy, and recharge yourself.

By working at reinforcing your foundations, you can gain a greater awareness of your real aspirations and needs, and what really needs to be done in order to fulfill them.

Moreover, Muladhara chakra influences your physical survival instincts, physical vitality, and the emotions of jealousy, anger, greed, and desire.

The body parts connected with the base chakra are: anus, coccyx, adrenal glands, large intestine, back, leg, feet, and bones.

Imbalances in the Root (Muladhara) chakra

Imbalance in this chakra may manifest as losing interest in survival in the real world, obsessions and physical addictions, restlessness, selfishness, volatile emotions, and a lack of vitality.

Furthermore, you will lack discipline and focus, and you may even become anxious in your daily interactions.

A balanced Muladhara chakra helps you will feel secure in your world and makes daily tasks effortless as well.

You will not have any doubts about your place in the world, and things will work perfectly for you, whether it is your relationships or career.

Additionally, when your base chakra is opened, you have plenty of energy and self-confidence rather than fear or arrogance.

Benefits Of Chanting LAM Beej Mantra

Traditional Yogic systems stress the importance of stabilizing the first chakra.

Kundalini awakening begins here.

The chakra is also known as the seat of the “red bindu,” which rises up to the “white bindu” in the head to unite the masculine and feminine energies.

The fastest, easiest, and most effective way to release the frustrating problems caused by energy blockages in Muladhara chakra is through sound. The root chakra vibrates in harmony to the “C” note.

Chanting the LAM seed mantra will have a positive effect on this chakra. The sound of the mantra is immediately felt and responded to by the body.

As you meditate with the Muladhara chakra mantra, close your eyes, and visualize that you are taking red energy in with each breath, that the healing red energy is getting to every part of your body, and energizing it.

It is said that one who chants the Lam mantra more than 100,000,000 times can attain all the Siddhis (spiritual powers) of the base chakra.

Note

It is important, though, to balance Muladhara chakra first before we proceed to other chakras, or we will lack the stability necessary for true transformation and personal growth.
