You Can Heal Your Life Documentary by Louise Hay

Louise Hay, born on October 8th, 1926, is a motivational author.

Some of Louise Hay’s books:

  • Gratitude: A Way Of Life;
  • Heal Your Life Workbook;
  • Love Yourself;
  • Heal Your Body (her first book, published in 1976, translated into 25 languages).

She is the founder of Hay House Publishing Firm and cooperates with Doreen Virtue, Wayne Dyer, and Joan Borysenko. She is the founder of a nonprofit organization – The Hay Foundation.

The movie (filmed in 2007) – ”You Can Heal Your Life,” was inspired by a book with the same name, that has sold more than 50 million copies.

There are two versions of this movie available: the standard version and an expanded one, which includes four additional hours of additional interviews and also an Affirmation Toolkit.

Louise Hay made her first movie, ”You Can Heal Your Life,” at the age of 81.

She said:

“I’ve become so delighted with this project.”

Hay went on to say:

”I’ve noticed that women in the film industry who are 35 are usually too old to get a part. But I’m 80 and I’m doing my first movie . . . and I’m the star. It’s very, very exciting.”

It all started more than 30 years ago when Louise saw how people let illness and hurtful circumstances control their lives. She vowed to help them see that the root of their pain stemmed from their negative thoughts.

So, she sat down and wrote a little blue pamphlet, where she described how our mental patterns and beliefs could actually contribute to illness in our body.

She even listed various medical conditions, explained what thoughts correlated with them, and showed us that the way to heal our lives was just a positive thought away.

In this documentary, Louise had a simple message that she wanted to share:

“The body, like everything else in life, is a mirror of our inner thoughts and beliefs. Every cell within your body responds to every single thought you think and every word you speak.”

You Can Heal Your Life – Synopsis

It starts with the story of a young woman who is facing a difficult time in her life, but she is willing to make a change that will be the starting point in her metamorphosis, from a troubled soul to a peaceful and happy one.

We are presented with the power of our thoughts in our day-to-day lives and the impact it has on us. Also, Louise points out the fact that we are the author of our own life story and all it takes is for us to choose wisely how we think in order to build a healthy and happy life.

You see, through personal interviews, how Louise teaches us to look within and heal ourselves. And you glimpse back to the time when Louise launched her successful book publishing company from a small bedroom in her home when she self-published her “little blue book.”

During an interview, best-selling author Gregg Braden said:

“I was working as a defense systems computer engineer during the last years of the Cold War when I first read Louise’s book, You Can Heal Your Life.”

Braden later added:

”It came to me at a turning point in my life and I found it so beautiful, so powerful, and so true.”

He also said:

”Through the simple elegance that’s the hallmark of her work, Louise put words to my view of a life philosophy that includes compassionate self-healing. Now, 20 years later, I’m not only honored to be part of the Hay House family, but I’m blessed to know the woman who gives so much in the world, and who touched my life during such a pivotal time in such a special way.”

Renowned life coach Cheryl Richardson declared:

“It’s an honor to be part of a film that celebrates the work of an amazing woman who has done so much for so many.”

Author Leon Nacson said:

“How does one put into words the effect Louise L. Hay has had on one’s life? To do the subject justice, a book the size of The Complete Works of Shakespeare wouldn’t be enough.”

Louise Hay Quotes

“You should breathe deeply and chant, Money will easily and effortlessly flow into my life as often as you can every day. Things will start to change after a month. If you believe you will be financially secure, then you are opening yourself up to change.”

“If you want to understand your parents more, get them to talk about their own childhood, and if you listen with compassion, you will learn where their fears and rigid patterns come from. Those people who did all that stuff to you were just as frightened and scared as you are.”

“The gateways to wisdom and learning are always open, and more and more, I am choosing to walk through them. Barriers, blocks, obstacles, and problems are personal teachers giving me the opportunity to move out of the past and into the Totality of Possibilities.”
