Andi Puddicombe born on 23rd September 1972 in Bristol UK is an ex-Buddhist monk, author of The Headspace Diet: 10 days to finding (2011) your ideal weight and Get Some Headspace: How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life in Ten Minutes a Day (2013).
In 2010, he founded Headspace, a digital health company which includes a mobile application to help users learn mindfulness meditation.

In 2012 Andy held this Ted talk named “All it takes is 10 mindful minutes” (over four million views) on the subject mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness meditation is similar to Buddhist Vipassana meditation and Zen meditation. Mindfulness meditation is a simple method in which we must be in the present moment, not thinking about the past or future, just observing our breath. Some research suggests that mindfulness meditation may improve mood, decrease stress, and boost immune function.
