Om Shri Anantaha complete mantra lyrics:
”Om Shri Anantaha Narayanaha
Mangalam Bhagwan Vishnu
Mangalam Garuda Dhwaja
Mangalam Pundri Kaakshu
Mangalaye Tanu Hari (x3).”
The Sanskrit word ”mantra” is a combination between the root ”man,” which translates as “to think” or “mind” and the suffix ”tra,” which translates as “tool”, therefore a literal translation of the word ”mantra” would be a powerful “instrument of thought”.
Earliest Sanskrit mantras were composed in Vedic times by Hindus and those are at least 3,000 years old, later becoming an important part of the Hindu tradition and a customary practice within Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
Benefits of reciting mantras in the morning:
”Mantras have powers to endow one with remarkable abilities.” – Ramana Maharshi.
Morning mantras are mainly used as spiritual words, conduits, or sacred vibrations that instill one-pointed concentration in the practitioner.
Every morning, when we wake up, our mind is aware and open to much more than we realize. We can find ourselves in a state of mind that just wants to shut the world away. We want to go back to bed or at least hide in some quiet corner for a while.
If you want a joyful day, you have to start it with a joyful mindset and a morning mantra is a great method to get that started.
Other mantras you can use in the morning:
”I choose to be happy right now.”
”I am surrounded by abundance and prosperity.”
”I am a new person today – healthier, better, and happier than ever before.”
”I enter this day with a mental attitude of appreciation.”
”I believe things and situations will always work out for the best.”
”I am receiving the best that life has to offer now.”
”I awake each morning and give thanks for all that I have in my life.”
”I have been given endless talents and abilities which I begin to utilize today.”
”I am at peace with all that has happened, is happening, and will happen.”
”I let this new day empower and revitalize my mind and body.”
”Today I will trust divine guidance to head my actions and thoughts knowing that I will be brought to happiness.”
These morning mantras also create corresponding mental images in the conscious mind, which affect the subconscious mind accordingly. In this way, you start to program your subconscious in accordance with your will. Try it and see how your life improves!
