What is the Soul Star Chakra (8th chakra)?

The 8th chakra is usually called the soul star chakra or seat of the soul. This chakra is located above the top of the head, above the Sahasrara chakra (crown chakra). It is usually gold and white in color.

This chakra is the fusion of the spiritual dualism of life on earth (us as an illusive and distinct individuals) with the spiritual oneness, where we perceive that there is no separate self but rather only one universal consciousness.

It is the first transpersonal chakra. Although there is a gateway between Soul Star chakra and the Sahasrara chakra, frequently called the Stellar Gateway.

This incredible link of healing energy connects us to our higher selves feeding through the knowledge, healing guidance and love power that light our souls.

When your Soul Star chakra is open:

When this chakra is balanced we have a clear sense of purpose and why we have chosen this reincarnation. We move through life with conviction and ease.

„Accessing the energies of the eighth chakra enables us to become aware of the deeper behavioral patterns that pervade our lives. Where these no longer supports us, we are then able to attune to the wisdom of our higher-self and undertake universal heart-centered healing at a soul level.” – Jude Currivan’s quote from the book The 8th Chakra: What It Is and How It Can Transform Your Life .

When this chakra is not functioning properly either too much or too little healing cosmic energy enters our personal energy field.

Opening the 8th chakra:

The chain of awakening within the chakra system in not always in an orderly or logically based manner. You cannot open this chakra until significant clearing and opening has been done in the lower seven chakras.

What this also means is that as long as a portion of you is still having the experience of the outer world as something that you react to as opposed to something that you create from within, this chakra will not fully open.
