Arterial Embolism – Spiritual Meaning, Causes, Symptoms, Prevention

An embolism is a medical term for a blocked artery that is caused by a foreign body, like – a blood clot, fat cells, or an air bubble.

When an artery is blocked, it can cause tissue death or damage in the affected area. Due to this fact, this condition is a medical emergency.

”Emboli” means more than one clot, and ”embolism” is the medical term used to describe a blood clot that travels to another location, from the site where it is formed.

Clots generally affect the legs, arms, or feet. Emboli that occur in the heart cause a heart attack. Ones that occur in the brain cause a stroke.

Less common sites include the intestines, kidneys, and eyes. Occasionally, pulmonary embolism is classified as arterial embolism as well.

Symptoms

  • muscular weakness;
  • tingling;
  • swollen neck veins;
  • numbness;
  • pale, bluish cool skin;
  • pain caused by movement;
  • severe pain in the area of the embolism.

Causes

A condition called atherosclerosis (also known as hardening of the arteries) is an important cause of blood clot formation because of an accumulation of cholesterol plaques within the lining of blood vessels.

Atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) is another significant risk factor for this life-threatening condition.

Fat cells which enter the blood after a bone fracture can lead to a blood clot. Also, cancer cells that enter the bloodstream, infected blood cells, and small gas bubbles may also lead to this problem.

Smoking – it contributes considerably to the risk factors by limiting oxygen supply, creating cholesterol level imbalance, and injuring the blood vessels.

Being inactive for long periods – this can happen when an individual has to stay in bed after a serious illness or surgery, or when someone sits for a long time on a car or flight trip.

Arterial Embolism – Spiritual Meaning

Embolism indicates that you are no longer flexible on the inside and that you have become mentally stiff. Your life has been focused on rest and relaxation for far too long, and as a result, your body has become lethargic.

Realize that everything in life is on the move and that you are no exception to this. Be open and embrace a flexible attitude, become tolerant, and love nature.

Prevention

Avoid Alcohol

Drinking too many alcoholic beverages can raise blood pressure. In addition, it adds extra calories, which may cause unnecessary weight gain. Both can raise the risk of this condition.

Note – if you do drink alcohol, stay within the recommended limits. Women should have no more than one alcoholic drink a day, and men should not have more than two.

Lower Your StressMeditation woman meditation in a room

Stress contributes to any type of cardiovascular disease as well as it can cause sudden death or a heart attack.

There are numerous methods that help to lower your stress levels, including – mindfulness meditation, adequate sleep, regular physical exercise, laughing, or spending time in nature.

Physical Exercise

It is recommended to do at least 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity per week, 2½ hours of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity, or a combination of both.

Thank you, as I have Recently experienced both Brain seizures and a pulmonary embolism, I am curious to know the spiritual cause. I don’t smoke, I’m a little overweight but not obese, I don’t have diabetes, I walk an average of 2 miles per day, I exercise at least 2 hours per week, I have a drink per day (generally wine or beer). I eat fruit daily, my diet is mostly plant-based, and I meditate daily.

I and my doctors are trying to figure it out. I have no idea what caused the brain seizures, but the doctors have determined that a 22-hour flight Was the physical cause of the pulmonary embolism.

My daughter says that I am denying something, is that so? I could use some help.
